Grabbed a poorly lit couple of photos of these GSSX scrap gons in Green Bay Last week - they appear to be home brewed from a couple of boxcars.

.Question is - what box car did they start as?

Homebrewed? Nope. Definitely an NSC-built woodchip car. Not sure why it's been modified with a divider to make it a 2-section car.

Based on the number range, it looks like these could actually be originally Algoma Central cars.

Probably ex-STWX 1418-1490, ex-DCFX 1418-1490, ex-WESX 1418-1490, nee-ACIS 1401-1490 series
