Took the boys to the Illinois Railway Museum yesterday for their first visit.  First trolley ride is in the books!

Last weekend and next weekend are the "A Day with Thomas" so we found him with his sleeping mask on.   :P

And of course, there's nothing like kicking back and watching the street cars roll past.

Late report, but it was still weekend work. Got a good start on the Lewistown station bash for Dr. V (https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=18915.

Two Cornerstone Water Street Terminals got sliced and diced to make the main walls. Just need to open up some of the windows to make doors, add the roof, and paint her up.

David, nice work on the depot; got a photo of the real thing? Proto modeling floats my boat too, not just just the engineer cap and wooden whistles. (sorry, couldn't help myself :D)
Regards, Otto K.

Thanks! It's a fun little project. Not strictly "proto"--just close enough that someone familiar with the station might recognize it.

Loads of images to be found of the real deal: https://www.google.com/search?num=10&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&site=&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1920&bih=979&q=lewistown+railroad+station&oq=lewistown+railroad+station
