Thanks everyone,
Truly all of your appreciation mean more to me than a NMRA blue ribbon and 107 score.  It the members of the railwire who are at the top of model railroading..... Period.

A beautiful model of 9000, Jason. But the fact that you were able to convert a Kato mikado into a functional 4-12-2 really impresses me. (Of this Santa Fe guy is very strongly biased to your Kato GS4 conversions to ATSF 3765 class beauties. Robert

That's quite an engine Jason! Wow....
I can't wait to be able to get to working on steam again, the layout monster has been sucking up all my modeling time lately but at least I am making good progress.
Keep on steaming, I always get inspired!

What Otto says, plus...Yes...it IS impressive!  My layout monster is also eating up all of my time and I'll be very happy after the August Evanston Roundhouse Festival to get to work on engines and cabooses again.

Jason, forgive me for being late to the party.  i have no new steam to show...   :(

That is one monsta-whamma-jamma!  I assume this is your brass casting or did you stick with your kato/resin chassis that ran in the video?  Can't wait to to see it weathered and painted!

Guys I truly appreciate the kind comments.  The Spring was overly busy with work, so it’s good to do some modeling again and I am eager to get numerous projects done.

Bob- Let me know about the FEF-1 and I will get a new master made with greatly improved casting.  Of interest, a TTT may be in the near future.  For me a TTT and a Bull Moose are two engine that really need to be done.  In addition, it’s out of your era but within the next year I will have the 49er/ streamlined mountain done, work has already begun.

Otto- I will be shipping out another (improved) 3800 casting to you soon.  The tender was delayed but “is back on track”

Lemo and others- this is an all new frame which still uses the old technic of urethane frame boxes.  Interesting enough, I do expect to receive the first 5 brass frames on Friday.  Once they are all tested and no problems are found a larger batch of frames will be sent out for “lost urethane brass castings”.  I am really excited about the frames, it’s going to open up many project not only from me but more importantly GHQ (he has numerous casting that will be viable with a correct frame/driver mechanism).

Although this isn't as impressive as Jason's collection, I thought I'd post this here as my collection of functional Big Boys and Challengers is growing.  These'll be used in my operating scheme and I'll add to them (both Big Boys and Challengers) periodically as money and availability allows.  They're parked at the Echo Yard, which in a month will be much more finished.

Man. Almost makes me want to model UP.
Almost. Why did they have such HUGE locos? Was it for more power and less curves out west?
