I wasn't looking for accolades, but thank you.   :) The model came out really good, and like Max said: those distinctive tender trucks make a big difference in making the model even closer to the 1:1 loco.

Here's some SP steam doing what it does best....

and some more....

This is my new SP overnight set, and yes the coach on the back was correct.  It was too fast for cabooses.  They did bring out a caboose with high speed trucks later to use with the diesels on this train.

I have a gs-4 to be painted warbaby black like the one in the video but with large tender lettering.

It looks like I have been away from here for too long! Have been busy building steam and new expanded layout and work, work, work. Here's a video I took in Jan woith a few steam locos prowling around, simultaneously. The newest was the CNW 2361 Model Power Mike, extensively modified. I added firebox flicker, ( as on most of my steam) and a light in the brakeman's shanty on the tender. Twas a fun one moving the sand dome to a more correct CNW location.
Northern Pacific in the Badlands, in N-scale of course!

S-L-O-W is the way to go. I have two sections marked out on the edge of my layout with speed tables from the Ntrak manual. Have gotten fairly used to judging 25 -45 mph in scale.

Just to clarify I am redoing some of the old pics  at the beginning of this thread which were lost.  This has been an incredible reference of some awesome work!

Instead of creating new (out of sequence) posts (Or quoting old posts) with broken photo links you should be able to edit the old posts, delete the broken photo links and replace them with the new links.

Looks like you click on "quote" instead of "edit" your post. Then you probably did it again, using whatever you did not click the first time.
