I thought I read somewhere on these forums, that Walthers has some new guy that understands N scale....

So far, they only understand how to frustrate us.
I’m not here to argue

In all honesty, I should take a look at the GP60's, but otherwise it was a disappointment...

DL-109, 0-8-0 plus strutures back in stock so it is not like they have given us nothing.  That would be Rapido!!

They are quietly repopping some structures we haven't seen in a while, like valley growers and central gas. Just like Medusa a few months ago, no mention of it anywhere just an expected in stock date on their website.

Maybe it is:

Hmm... When is Walthers
coming out with a model
banana plantation...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

I operate with one of the product guys at Walther's, I don't think anyone said they understand N.

That being said, I've heard there's been some structural changes at Walther's in the past few weeks.

Frankly, some of the recent Walthers releases - like the Difco cars and the Greenville 2 bay hoppers are among my favorite cars.  I assume both sold well?

Walthers makes some good stuff in N. I'm grateful for the structures. They also make some fine products that came with the Lifelike line (proto diesels and steam). The passenger cars are nice even if they choose not to release them in the roads that actually had them.

But then there are the "what the?" releases like the reissue of the old LL NE caboose at $30 ...

Hopefully at some point their approach to N scale will be more coherent.
