The way I read the DCC options on the loco...it will come with a NMRA socket jut like the FVM models have. The loco will come with a jumper plug to run on DC and you simply unplug the jumper and replace it with a decoder of your choice to run DCC. It's about as simple as it gets to install DCC in a setup like this.

YES! NKP made the list, now if I can get a couple in N&W! (not sure if they were ex-NKP or Wabash units, but I know they had several). With all the different road names, you guys will be making these for years.

I hope Atlas treats these like they have the GP7s and 9s. They just keep churning them out. For me, someone who custom paints a lot, it is nice to be able to grab a unit when the spirit moves me. I have a long list of S2s and S4s that I would like to model.

With the list of possible railroads listed by Cory I would think that is their full intention.  Why wouldn't you, this is clearly the proven business model.

N&W inherited S-2s from both the NKP & WAB (more from Wabash).

Most probably were used on ex NKP or Wabash rails.

I am torn...the LAST 3 S2's were of the SP roster by 1976, and the last 36 S4's were gone by then as well. The last 5 S6's lasted until 1981...do I get one and model an S6 even though they liked to haunt California?

maybe releasing them without cab numbers could be a consideration...  although changing the number wouldn't be that tough...
