Superturbine does some AWESOME work, He's the ONLY reason I was able to get the A-4 off the ground. I'm so close to finishing that project, I'm left with a pair of westinghouse air pumps, class lights for the smoke box, rear light, Decoder, then promptly screw the whole project up with my typical piss-poor paint and weathering!  :scared:

Thanks guys...... Lookin great Richie.  Is this engine going to be greyhound or tux.  Delamaize, when you finish this engine  I can send you another A4 casting.  You can get it ready for the Kato FEF to A4 conversion. You need another one anyways.....

I've been cutting and gluing pink foam.  First you draw out the outline of the shore, with a crude mick up of the dock position:

THen you look at your reference photo for about 4 days to make sure you like the shore line you chose:

Then you caulk it down with all the weight you can find:

The top of the benchwork was already painted - don't worry folks, since I'm modeling an a rem of the Mississippi River, it will be very brown soon enough.  Now I need to source a ton of bald cyprus in N scale!

Hmm... Kiz is bald, and
his head is made of wood.
Does that help...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Not much train stuff, but Joy and I took a balloon ride:

Salem NH. The pilot in the cowboy hat is Andre, and he is just as interesting as a French, cowboy hat wearing balloon pilot sounds.

You know that moment?

That moment when you take the kit of that protoype that not everyone models, that prototype in some unpopular scale.
Then you assemble it, curse, swear, loose and find religion in a matter of seconds, botch the paint job, screw up the decals but you put wheels on it.
You call it finished.
And you sit back grinning from ear to ear at what you built.

Yeah I had that moment this week.

On to the crappy pics with poor lighting and next to no editing.........

And one for Ed K in his continuing winter tree saga.

Wire trees, I'll wrap them in paper towel or tissue paper to stimulate bark and make the branch structure using lichen, I've been pleased with the results and will post the finished product, if and when I can be arsed.

Can't wait to see the finished product, Richie. Those resin steamers always look so tempting. But wow, now that I see just how much work has to go into them...  Yikes! :o

Anyway, I started working on a model of the SunRich Elevator fertilizer building yesterday. Still a ways to go -

Cheers,
-Mark
