Question About Micro-Trains Gondolas

I have an odd request. I need to know which MTL gondola(s) came with black bettendorf trucks, but one truck had a short extension coupler and the other truck had a medium extension to clear the side-mounted brake wheel on a drop-end gondola. I just don't want to go on ebay and buy any drop-end gondola and find out it has roller bearing trucks.

Oh yeah, does anyone know if any cushion underframe box cars had bettendorf trucks?

The ones with the brakewheel on the sides.  The longer coupler was to prevent hitting the brakewheel on tight radius curves, in theory.

Cushion underframes were certainly used in conjunction with Roller Bearing journal equipped trucks, not bettendorf friction journal trucks that I have ever seen.

Why not just buy the trucks separately?  The standard coupler box and medium-extended coupler box versions have been available as separate items for decades.

I only need one medium extension truck. I already have one from a drop-end gondola I bought a while ago and didn't note the roadname before I took the trucks/couplers off so I could body-mount couplers.

Still cheaper to pick up a pair of the (if I remember correctly) #1003 or #1033 trucks rather than pilfering a set from an auction acquisition.

Kis - It is important to note that those are not friction bearing trucks.  If you look closely, you can see that the trucks are retrofitted with roller bearing journals, thus the removal of the friction journal covers.

Good effort though.   :D
