Or if you're a certain manufacturer out in Cali, you mix the two....      :o :D

P.S.  Did you have to use a back-up?  I noticed a PM and a topic I had posted right before the site went offline disappeared.
I've never met a covered hopper I didn't like.... :)

All I want to know is if it was the Russians or the Chinese that took the site down to begin with.

I have no problem getting back onto this forum, but there are a bunch of people who say they're having a hard time over on this thread on TrainBoard. Will someone who knows what might be their issues please enlighten them.

It's back up, sort of, for me. It is totaly text based right now. There are no graphics except for the banner picture on the top, not even the full banner.

you should try clearing you cache, and bouncing the browser... see if that works.  the banner is dynamic.. and the rest of the images/colors/styles might be cached in some corrupted way..

Back and good to go this time. I had cleared cache before with no luck. What ever it was is good now.

Thanks

A bunch of guys on TrainBoard who say they cannot sign in here report 403 errors. One of them says that the message he gets is:

Most likely causes:

This website requires you to log in.

   What you can try:

Go back to the previous page.

I am having no problems here, and I cannot reproduce their results. Is there something I can suggest they do beyond the clearing of the cache, etc.?

Clear cache and cookies. When the site came back up the cookie parameters had changed and any that were retained were invalid.

Also... close all IE windows. IE does a poor job of purging security trackers if you leave even unrelated windows open.

Someone has suggested that it's not an issue here at Railwire or a browser issue but the now outdated DNS information at some of the ISPs, and that's why it affects some but not others.

Most of these guys have done a browser cache clearing and tossed their cookies.

Errr... wait.

Better tossed cookies than tossed.... eh, this comment is probably more appropriate on Tom's more revenue friendly forums.

Good to see the site up and running. I missed you knuckleheads.
