We already know it isn't Bachmann, Paul Graf confirmed it was their own piece (even though it's a 99% chance a MicroAce). My point is that it still looks toyish like the Bachmann. The tender sits like a 4x4, the side rods look cheesy/flimsy, appears to use the same drawbar method etc. It's the same reasons I avoided the Mogul.

I think you will probably find that true of anything that small. The M-A/Atlas 2-6-0 is only about 2/3 the size of the MP 2-6-0 and 1/2 that Athearn model. Anything that small will be flimsy due to its small size.

Well if it has Micro-Ace 2-6-0 bones there is a decent chance it will " pull abnormally well for its size " . No other outfit can claim being in that category .

Tony take a look at the trucks, they ride really close to the frame on that tender in the image you shown, compare that to the Bachmann or Atlas piece and there is a Rancho suspension in there.

That's what you will have to do if relief is that important .

That has to be a tender drive engine. The drivers are awful, but otherwise not bad. Maybe a Trainman line?

Nice catch Rich. While I'm still disenchanted by previous points I'm impressed by open cab, intrigued by the mechanism, the shell and the detail on the tender. might be able to etch new side rods and mill/change up the drivers.

I think it was the other way around. Disney approached Lowell. The loco's and cars are being sold at the amusement park. At this point, the only place to get the loco is at the park or through their gift shop. I think Lowell Smith was the guy that made it all work. I'm sure we will get the whole story eventually.

Wasn't my catch , saw it on the Atlas thread .

 As far as I can see both drivers have traction tires . So tender pickup , tender motor , and shafted to the boiler worm .
