Bryan is that a NH caboose? How many railroads had that style of window?

On my Free-moN "Shoofly" module I got the wiring done and Bullfrog installed & wired:

Which means trains be running!

Now comes the fun part: scenicing! (or pulling a rabbit out my magic a$$hat)  :ashat:

HOLLY SMOKES there's a ton of great photos this week. I've been neglecting all things  'n' as I've been busying tying flies for the upcoming flyfishing season.

Love the night shot Pud
Marks Kootenay River scene is looking awesome
I also dig M Winicki's Penn Central shot (I'm totally eastern road biased, but love the grown overall siding)  :D
Plus all the others.

And the look on this one screams large scale (nice work on the focus) :

Wow, really nice photos everyone!

Here's a shot of the Silver Streak Zephyr on the ModuTrak layout. All the cars are from the first Kato release of corrugated passenger cars. Your on your own for the E-5 though.

I've been making windows for Lee's Cumberland station model, using my Silhouette cutter:

I'm going to have to redo a couple of panels--managed to stick 'em together cockeyed--but it's all, as they say, a learning experience. :)

Some beautiful work this week.  Pud, that night shot is wonderful, and Mark's Kootenay river is fantastic.

I spent most of my free time tangling with DCC hiccups.  Locos would work, and then they would not.  I think I fried one decoder as well.  To top off the fun, I appear to have a double stack clearance issue in one of my hidden areas   :RUEffinKiddingMe:.  Thankfully everything is still (mostly) accessible.

Oh yeah, I finally ran my Atlas SD50 long enough to realize what everyone was complaining about in terms of the wobble.

The only positive news is I started on my "Noodle-swoosh" repaint.  Should look like this in the end http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=361518&nseq=10

In-progress shot of a PRR class P70 coach under construction. Base model is the Lima heavyweight.  American Limited 2D-P5 trucks and diaphragms, end windows blanked out, and airbrush painted with Micro Trains' formulation for PRR Tuscan Red. The gloss will be knocked down after being Dullcoted once lettering and striping are applied.

Well; the "time gods" smiled on me this afternoon and I got the Micro Trains Evergeen car modified.... roof painted grey; the bottom sill was extended and mofidied and the road number changed... here she is in service with the undec car I painted and modified. The undec is on the left......

The two match well enough for me and will add some regional authenticity to my Samuel Ridge Sub.....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Updated photo... The large vestibule windows that come with the car are reminiscent of older as-built P70s. By the 1950s, those not converted to other P70 variants almost all had small vestibule windows.

I was gonna be lazy about it, but Bryan B called me out, so I modeled that feature!
