You can really appreciate how shiny the cars are when seeing them in motion like that.

That's Hawt Dave. It would be even better with a couple of strobes.

Agreed, but that's probably too delicate of a job for these clumsy hands.  I think about it, though, every time I'm handling the F40PHs.

I'd be willing to look at wiring in some strobes for you.  Maybe there's a Richmond Controls circuit that drops in easily?

I think the decoder he has in there should support it . . . .

I drove thru Aberdeen this week when I was in NC for work. I have to say you did a good job capturing the feel of the town and area. I do see that you have a lot of trees in your future.  :D

The Seaboard Central hosted TRW's own seusscaboose (Eric) and his fellow BANTRAK member, Lauren Baker, this evening.  Lauren brought her WM Consolidation and circus train, seen here stretching its legs on the SBD mainline between Southern Pines and Aberdeen, North Carolina:

The Connie and circus train also made a run up the A&R as seen here:

My three-year-old daughter, Aly, loved the circus train and enjoyed spotting the giraffes, lions, tigers, and hippos.  Thanks for coming, Eric and Lauren.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.  You're welcome back anytime.

It was good seeing you again...  Glad I could finally see the SC2.0 in person!!!!  It is coming along nicely and the Ops potential is good with all those different RR's in the mix.  Thank you for the inspiration, I will make the trip again soon... Just lemme know about a work session

Its the LEDS that do the flashing. Not the decoder or any circuit. My HO F40 was wired that way. The LEDs do all the flashing.

The replacement turnout has been built for the east end of Hamlet Yard:

I need to order more QuickSticks Laser Ties to build a second turnout that will complete the east end of the Hamlet Yard's trackage.  To further amortize the cost of the jig, I plan to tearout and redesign the trackage from the east end of Raeford through Dundarrach on the A&R.  There's a couple of places that I would like a realignment with the use of curved turnouts.

Thanks, Rich!  I got it installed this afternoon, well, at least temporarily to test it.  It's not glued down yet, nor are any of the rail joints soldered yet.  I wanted to ensure that it worked well, before I set it permanently into place.  It seems to be okay in preliminary testing through both routes and in both directions.  There's a little wheel hop through the frog sometimes, but that's probably to be expected with a #8 frog and the Fox Valley wheelsets with narrow treads that I run on many cars.  Any derailments were related to the points not being positively thrown (like I said, it's jury rigged for test purposes) or truck-mounted couplers when I tried backing up through the turnout.  So far, so good!

I think I'll go play with some more trains. See you!
