Dave, as another transplanted southerner - who needs to model a patch of this stuff - you have officially nailed it. Job well done. Now go hang some light blue vinyl flashing over those cinder blocks in the distance and you.ll have a backdrop.WAIT - befor eyou do that post the product numbers of your polyfibre and leaf flock so I can do my kudzu.
Dave, Kudzu gets darker leaves further into the patch, so adding a darker shading away from the edges would help. Also, there was a dealer to the left in the center room as you looked at Tex N Rails who had nice N scale sheet brick, and black styrene sheets too. I left some. Sorry our paths didn't cross during the day like mine did with Ed.
That's Railway Models from Edgewood, MD. He has a sheetload of brick sheets...believe he may have a website as well. Jeff Peck
Astonishing. Very well played. All you have to do now is make a couple of trees every night... For a photo backdrop, just go to Staples and get a sheet of foam core board in white. If you're so compelled, add some washes of blue to it, or laminate some sky blue poster board to it. I think they even have a sheet of poster board with clouds printed, but I think it's oriented vertically, so it's harder to get a wide angle on. I kept a small piece of styrene sheet that I dolled up for temporary photo backgrounds...
