... It's very clever to include the menu board, the clock on the wall and erect nipples on the counter girl, but let's face it, apart from extreme macro photography, you're never EVER going to see them.  Unlike the riveted interior of the G-26, or the multiple configurations of the X58, you're paying for details that will have little impact on the average viewer.  And since you're using the translucent resin, will it even be possible to light the interior to show off the details without the building having that thermonuclear glow? ...

The clock was added in one of those "let's see if it's possible" moments and amazingly, it is.  Noch makes well-endowed counter girls, so no reason to reinvent the wheel there.  8)  Regarding illumination - if all the wax is removed, the model becomes opaque.  But I still recommend painting the inside walls black before painting them white as an added light block.  And if you mount a micro LED on the ceiling, you actually would see everything inside.  It's no different than lighting up a storefront window.

Here's the screenshot of an interior I quickly painted for the upcoming WT video.  You can see that the details are more distinct once they are painted, and this is the Shapeways version.

It would be easy to shrink down one for you personally if you wanted one, but I wouldn't be marketing them.  Rendering a single one would be pricey though.

I'm not going to do anymore until I know if there's even room for it on the model.

Or a jewelry store.

I lived in two different apts. in that building behind it.  The one one top was about 300 sf. with pitched ceilings and a kitchen that I could touch everything standing in one spot.  :D

Just put it on the National Registry and you can make it whatever you want.

I was going to pass but WTH, Waterloo could use a White Tower.  I don't hove a problem with $34.

Jason

Jason--Is that in Waterloo, Iowa?  My son is a Professor at University of Northern Iowa and lives in Waterloo   I'd love to stop by that building next time we visit him.

Roger

Best regards,

Roger

No, that's Uptown/South Minneapolis.

And a bit of trivia, only three blocks from GHQ (if he's still there).

But if you ever want some neat train stuff to see in Waterloo, let me know!

After removal of the embossed WT lettering, dimensions of the signage area are as follows:

Height of all signage areas:  5.6mm
Long wall over window, between tower and vertical belt rail:  16.2mm
Full length of long wall, stand-alone version:  24.6mm
Full length of long wall, integrated version:  26.1mm
Length of short wall, stand-alone version:  7.5mm
Length of short wall, integrated version:  9.0mm

Based on the models you've shown it looks like the best option might be a sign over the one window and the door.  Is that the 24.6mm?
