IM SD40-2 in HO

I wonder what is could mean for N? I can hear the venom now (and not totally undeserved for some of their snafu's), but that aside, the release does mention road specific details like noses lengths, headlight positioning, radiator grills, dynamic brake types, etc. Not bad in my book.

This one is also of ionterest :)

I sure hope not.

I don't care, my SD45-2 is enough of a lemon to swear me off any IM locomotive, ever.

Only ones I own are a batch of their F units and they run like a champ.  Have never had any problems with them.  Everything else they are doing are just to new for me.

I liked my IM F units...everything else I have wanted to run over with my truck.

I know who is doing the N scale SD40-2s...and I'm going to wait for them.  ;)

My IM locos are fine.  I hope this means we might see a n version in the future.  IM has been pretty steady with new models and they have been great for Canadian models.

Willing to wait for whoever that is, as long as it isn't Kato. Kato has made me wait long enough ...

I hand picked my Rio Grande tunnel. Its not as good as Atlas, but its not bad either. The 45-2 was OK, but had some detail errors. Their Canadian SD40-2 is really nice though.

That is why I think a n SD40-2 is not far off.  With the CN units tooled, they are most of the way there...

Ok but with some detail errors? If you mean a big dent in the cab roof, a shell that won't stay on, a huge gap between the cab and hood and handrails with burrs from the dust and dirt that was painted over, then I've got a locomotive to sell you...

I think my tunnel motors are awful, but I'm pleased with my SD40-2W's and FP9/F9B's.

They`re going to take a major step up for me to plunk down green for a loco..I just got one of their PFE 57 foot reefers and it had some assembly issues..

Sounds like some mixed IM product out there, but I was able to pick my tunnel and 45-2 units in person and they were all fine.
