Allen McClelland, Tony Koester, Andy Sperandeo and others will be presenting at the Springfield show March 8-11, 2012.

For more info check  www.railsplitter2012.org   Plan to visit the REAL Springfield in Illinois where the former chief of the Power Company looks like Mr. Burns, Zebediah Springfield launched the Donner Party (OK it wasn't Zeb but the Donner Party did leave from here) and where Abraham Lincoln practiced at the same law firm as I do www.bhslaw.com

Come enjoy the good life in Central Illinois, where hotels and food are cheap and see a heck of a train show while you're here :D
Best regards,

Roger

I don't know if that show can compete with the 20,000+ annual attendance or 4 large buildings at the Springfield Massachusetts show
if you can't conduct yourself, conduct freight

Not sure if I'll make it this year or not. But I have been threatened to be tied up and thrown in the car anyway.  :ashat:

You mean it goes into the State of Ohio?   Gee, I thought the B&O started in Baltimore and stopped at the river!

Originally it did, at Ellicott City, on the Patapsco River. Next question please...

My sister lives in Springfield, MA and I've thought about going to the Big E for quite a few years.  And then I read Roger's post that McClelland, Koester and Sperandeo were presenting and I that did it- I was going!

And then I read it was in Springfield, IL- and that was even better! (Since I live only 45 minutes away).

Hey Roger- tell 'em about the horseshoes!

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

I'm going for it.  Family is coming along and visiting some old friends in Amherst.  Crossing my fingers about the weather.
