Yeah I want to add some different washes/oils to them. They are just popped into holes at this point to see if I liked the spacing across the module. I also wanted to check how they meet up at the middle gap so that it does not look odd when wires get added to them. As well as taking off two arms.  But I also may end up eliminating them period, as they are pretty well gone around here.

This is the eventual color I am looking at.

Some shots from the Shirley MA show a few weeks ago. Thanks to Jesse Mazzie and Jamie Dupes (Dupesy) for helping out as always.

Also in the works is looking for a new place to put the permanent Amsokeag northern in. We have been looking around the last few months trying to find something that we both can agree on (virtually impossible).  As soon as we find a place the track planning will start.

Basement shopping can be quite labor intensive, especially if the other half is concerned with what sits on top of it.
It's probably why my father never pushed for us to move when I was a kid... I always complained about the basement (or lack thereof in more than one instance).

Right there with you Ian.  We cleaned up our place last weekend, and are now on the hunt for a Realtor, which I'm pretty sure are just a step above used cars sales people.

Told the wife we needed a basement.  No ifs, and, or, buts.  I'm tired of planning my layout.

[off topic] My in-laws are both Realtors, so I have a little bit of insight here.  If you had said, "Real estate agents were a step above used cars salespeople," then I wouldn't have had any objection to your statement.  But, Realtors have extra qualifications that they have to jump through to get that title, including additional mandatory training and a code of ethics.  They are in a different class from real estate agents.  I have had no problems with Realtors in my real property transactions. Dave, not meant to offend.  I used Realtor/Agent as interchangable, as I think most people think of them as one in the same.

We've yet to meet one that isn't very shady.  The first one we used was using our neighborhood to show people our property, and then telling them he had a rental that was just as nice.  Problem was the rental was his.......

I know there are exceptions both ways.  We've just not had a lot of luck.

We are using an agent that is a friend of mine so I know I can trust him. In this hunt we have run into some shady seller agents.  This isnt my first time doing this, I ended up building my other house back in '06, but it is a new experience for my other half and she's driving me bonkers!

Ian -
I wish that siding with the boxcars entering the Big Blue Building was straight where the track enters it.
I think every effort would have been made to accommodate that in the real big boy world.
