Pretty sure the Atlas C420 is a little bit higher quality than that thing  ;)

Loods like someone tried to kitbash a couple of old units.  Looks suspiciously like a F45 rear and front of a C420.

Looks like what would have been if NJ Transit had C420's rebuilt into commuter locos by MK or another builder, it would be something like an F420PH-2B

That looks like an MRC or Model Power C-420.

You just got to love the sellers who put stuff up to sell and have no clue as to what they are selling.  Not to mention the vague descriptions.    :facepalm:

OMG - With that big honking weight in it ... I bet it would put at least 100 Trainman cars !

I remember a few years back one of our members while on vacation stopped by to see the Arkansas & Missouri.

When he got back he was determined to model one of their C-420.  He showed me the article where someone used these shells as a starting point and retrofitted them onto an Atlas U25B chassis with decent results.
A few years later Atlas released their C-420's and  he promptly thew his shells in the trash and ran to the LHS and ordered all three numbers.

The best thing he said he ever did.   LOL

Not really!  Even though two of the wheels had traction tires, only the front truck is geared.

I had one of those MRC units and it was the biggest dog of a unit I ever owned.  I somehow lucked out and sold it to someone who really wanted one before Atlas came out with theirs.
