I believe all of the InterMountain models are IH 10'0" cars. And they are the only manufacturer to offer a 12-panel 40' boxcar.
I'm thinking a fun little project would be to take one of IMRC 10'6" cars, sand off the seams, add new ones with archer decals, get the diagonal panel roof and paint. So what is the prototype you're thinking of anyway?
The Intermountain 12 panel car is 10'-0" inside height; the Modified AAR car is closer to 10'-6" in height. I think I will have to start with the Modified AAR car, sand off the rivet strips and find a way to simulate the new weld lines.
As I mentioned, Archer Transfers makes various types of weld beads that would work perfectly for this application...and it's EASY. I like their raised panel lines set but they also have sheets of "perfect welds" and "arc welds".
