Hey Only a day late this week!
This weeks question stems from working on one of Bachmann's lt Mts. these things are known for being weak pullers, and short of doing some massive rebuilds, their isn't much that can be done. I went back and started reading up on it, and discovered that their was a simple fix out there, that would gain back some of the tracton, shim the traction tire driver a little. Well I tried brass I had laying around, styrine, alumnium foil, and sevral other things, with one of too results, either too thin, and didn't help at all, or too thick, and I ended up with a teeter totter. I have about given up, when I had a thought, Paper! I hadn't tried paper yet! so I made 2 shims out of plane old standard printer paper, and it worked, not too much, not too little, now I didn't gain as much as the teeter totter shims of course, but I did gain enough to make it useable.
so the question this week!
What was you simplest, yet effective fix to a N scale problem.
