SOLVED: Crew Lounge is Off Limits
« on: August 26, 2011, 10:29:35 PM »
A topic came up in the N scale forum that I had posted a response to. I went back today to followup and see that it has been moved to the Crew Lounge, which was probably appropriate since it was not N scale specific in any way. Problem is, when I go to view it in it's new location I cant.

"The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you."

The thread I'm looking for was https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=24482.0, now moved to https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=24476.0.

What can I do? Am I in some kind of probationary new member period? I searched for an answer but couldn't find one, not sure if I didn't look hard enough!

I believe the magic number is greater than 25 posts for Crew Lounge, so on your next one, you'll probably get in. If not, it might be higher,

You'll have to ask Ian why he moved a thread where two members who had posted to it, wouldn't be able to see it anymore.

The sound of one hand clapping?

"zealous moderation"?
is that an oxy-moron? (or, in the case of web forums: proxy-moron?)  :ashat:

Yeah, you have to find them in a post somewhere and hope they're allowed to get PMs now, it'll be under their name/avatar on the left side, looks like a big quote block or callout,

I was at 24 posts when I asked, asking pushed me to 25 & I can get in the Lounge now! What an odd coincidence!

That's why you haven't returned my calls.  I thought it was because I forgot to send flowers.

Apparently I am restricted to the N scale forum in spite of my 8 year membership.  The Crew Lounge is not one of my options.

Dick, that should not be. We'll take a look at it.

I have cleaned out my cookies, reloaded Railwire and it would still seem the only places I can visit is the N scale and the Administrative forums. Oh, well...........

Tuesday, 5/15..... OK, I think I fixed it.  :)

Can you get in now Dick?

I checked your account settings and could see no reason why you couldn't.  Was it the infamous drop down box that Chris had a brain fart with last week?
