Railwire Changes Ownership
« on: August 06, 2011, 11:06:05 PM »
I started running TheRailwire since 2005 .. thats a long time. I put in a lot of hours, but it was a labor of love. The time has come for me to move on. I just can't put in the time anymore, put up with all the detractors that come with running a forum like this.

I had planned to shut down completely on 1 September, but someone that I respect stepped up and has volunteered to keep the place going ..

It is  my pleasure to announce that Tom Mann is the new owner of TheRailwire site - and all the privileges, trials and tribulations that go with it. Please give Tom all the support you can. He will need it ..

For me, I am going to spend time in my basement working on my layout - I will check in on occasion to see how things are going.

Good Luck Tom!!!! and Congratulations ..

Solid transition.  Let's try not to wear Tom out like a rented mule.  Looking forward to moving forward.
Thanks for all your efforts John, they were not unnoticed.

Thanks guys.  Ever since I was a little boy, I wanted to be the administrator of this forum. 8)  I'll post the crowning ceremony video to youtube. ;D

In the next few weeks, there may be a few things that are "odd" (like the smilies not working last night).   Please report any issues to me (or I guess you could send Ed a facebook message).

John, thanks for all that you've done to get TRW to the community it has become. Tom, best of luck running the show moving forward, we'll go easy on you, the first week,  :)

that''s pretty funny...  all banners must now be gently weathered....

the MannWire shot deserves its own banner.

Tom, Thanks for stepping up to the plate for this one, I dunno what I would have done without railwire, especally with Atlas turning into a flame war zone, and for some reason trainboard has got more "touchy feely" vibe to it lately!

John, Thanks for all your work. We all expect to see some progress pictures in the future!!! ;D
