Finished building the protos for the N-6A and the N-9A Transfer Cabooses for the NTS.

Now to get ready for the long drive to/from the National Show in Sacramento. On the way back, I'll be doing some railfanning along the SF main line.

Finished my trilogy of CB&Q Havelock baggage cars. Here is the shadow lined scheme.

Just to recap. The Burlington dark green scheme.

And the Aluminum scheme.

Still looking great.  How did you do the shawdow striping?  They look better than the Rapido HO cars!

And chopped the nose on the loco that will become BN 1365:

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

Thanks Brian. A friend of mine made decals for me. (I, of course, have to build him a car in exchange :)

the QNS&L SD70ACe with the wrong fan section has had to be changed and that's what I did...
(...that was like open heart surgery on an already finished model)

and ready to roll out with the winterization hatch on...

Finished track laying and wiring at Taylor and did some switching to test it all out.

For a change I shot in black and white

Nice B&W shots Andy...they have a lot of atmosphere.

More ground cover work from me this week.  The basic ground cover from Fife to Coryell is now in.  Next up is a lot of detailing work and many hundred trees!  But first I must assure the layout is ready for an ops session this week.  The C&W only has two more sessions to go before the big visiting operator event (Vanrail) in September.

Overview shot of final section to be sceniced on second deck.

After a quick inspection of the car I'd intended to use for Lee's private car roundup, I determined it wasn't roadworthy. So, I relettered an Athearn 50-foot Overland coach for the occasion.

This constitutes the first N scale modeling (if you call it "modeling") I've done in over a decade.

I've weathered over 100 cars over the past two weeks in order to get the rolling stock close to 100% weathered.  Here are a few shots.  There's also a couple of videos at
