Fantastic scene!  I can feel the humidity!  The Rock locos are really well done too.

OK, I got the last batch of trees planted tonight.
Afterwards I took a few images to show the entire area that I've been working on. These were quick grabs so there are a lot of faults visible, such as all the loose foam floating on the creek.  Hopefully it gives you an idea of the whole area.
I am happy to say that I think this will act as decent view block between the towns of Fordyce and Haskell. If you look close you can see the elevator at Gavilon Fertilizer over the trees.

As I may have a visitor arriving at the end of the month, so I want to get the basement and layout cleaned up next so we can JFRT!

I started with this

Wound up with this

A few weeks ago I got started on my U33B's.

This week I finished the first of the five U33B's.
It still needs couplers and the front headlights installed, but the weathering is complete.

The weathering was all done with Pan Pastels. The oil and fuel leaks and all the grills were darkened with Tamiya Black Panel Liner.
I sealed it with several light misted coats of my dulling agent. Had I covered it with a single heavy coat, most of the powders would have faded away.
Pan Pastels do not fade as bad pastel chalks, but they do fade, especially the lighter colors.
I had to go back and reapply the pans on the trucks and fuel tanks a couple of times.

looks great - nice and grimy, appropriate for a railroad in decline.  Love the detail of the hood door repurposed from another loco with the older paint scheme.

Thanks Dean.
Yeah it was quite common on their GE's since their doors were interchangeable.
I also replaced some of the battery panels, I also replaced the doors on a couple of the other ones I'm working on.
