Try planting some kudzu.  That hides everything!

DFF

Hey I'd add a few drops of creosote just to add "flavour" to the scene ....!

You add Kudzu to that and you risk recreating “Day Of The Triffids”. 😱

I think I have to report the ground contamination to the federal authorities.

Sticking the proverbial fork in the Biddle engine facility for now.
While I'm sure there are probably a hundred or more things I could add to it, and thousands more detail parts to add, I'm calling it done for now.  The only thing that I may still add to the facility and yard for now would be some of the grass/weed tufts that I've made.

I've had a real enjoyable time working on this scene!  Over the past couple of decades of reading, watching and soaking up ideas for modeling (a lot of which came from The Railwire tank), I was finally able to bring them to the front burner and see what I could do with them.  This includes anything from trackwork to scenery to weathering and finally some photography.

I also wish to thank Mike Confalone for posting images online of his Madrid engine facility, which gave me the inspiration for my facility.

Here are some images of the current scene of the Biddle facility.

Here's a few that I played around with Helicon Focus and added backdrops to, but I've still got a bit of learning to do.

Allen that came out really nicely. I could see those side shots
In MR as Trackside photos.

Allen-
Great job capturing the beat up, worn down look of a granger road facility.   I remember railfanning the Rock Island - and MKT - as a kid and you could just sense the “Just trying to hang on” feel to the railroads’ infrastructure, locomotives, & rolling stock back then..... very nice work.

Beautiful work Allen. The colours and consistent tone of everything in the scene is very pleasing and realistic. Nicely done!

Go ahead!  See what I care...

Careful there. You could end up getting a bogus, but very official looking letter from the “EPA” about your “property”.

After all, we’ve all seen the photographs of the “site”, and this is the Internet… so 🤔😳😱

Yes, that is some really great modeling.  While not super-detailed, the very realistic-looking painting and weathering more than makes up for that.  I also noticed an interesting technique to obfuscate* unrelated background "stuff"- simply by making it look washed out or out of focus.  That is very effective. I only noticed that after carefully studying the photos. Well done all around!
