Due to the large number of spam bots that try to exploit online forums, I have a number of security features in place to minimize their ability to register.
1. I do not allow hotmail and yahoo email accounts - these are known to be especially infected by spam bot operators
2. I require a complicated CAPTCHA verification process - this validation technique has been very effective at preventing automatic spam bot registrations
3. I personally search the internet for your user name - If I can't find you on other railroad related forums, chances are your registration will not be approved. Try to use the same user name that you use on other forums.
4. I require you to provide a reason for joining - if you put in a good answer, chances are you will be approved for membership.
