They fit on paper so we'll see how they run when I get track down. Kato has them listed at 9 3/4" min with the standard short shank. And since its hidden how crappy it looks doesn't matter.

Are you gonna put in an under table sound module that plays the sound of squealing flanges.  ;D

I'm assuming the splines not done in that photo, or does the track actually continue off the bench top on the far end of the module?

That is correct. I was waiting for something else to dry so I could use those clamps...Looks like a good excuse for me to buy more clamps...

I was actually impressed with how quick the Mod U Trak method works. I was able to bang out the track splines in about 2hrs. Let it dry for about 4hrs and then put on the cap, let that dry for an hour, and took the router to it. Only lesson learned is that I will have to router these outside as it makes one hell of a mess in the basement as my router does not have a shop vac attachment.

Figuring it out, it takes me about 4.5hrs actual time, and the track splines, cap, and fascia boards (not shown) combined cost me $7.50.

Ian,

I have to say, I envy you. The MMUT modules have a relatively simple track layout, in regards to building the spline. Yours is more complicated and error or change of heart will require considerably more work. I envy your commitment and charging ahead. I probably would have sat on the track plan for weeks mulling it over and over.

 :) Hey I need some trains at home to work on... When you look at the actual track plan it hasnt changed since I started looking for it about 5 months ago other than some very minor adjustments such as length or adding a curve, so I've had over half a year to sit here an ponder the physical track layout aside from very minor things.
