Got the legs under 2 sections tonight. Just need to add braces and leveling bolts to those leg sets.

Started putting down the 1:1 plan to make sure things fit and to prepare for subroadbed.

Looks good, but you're using an older 1:1, and not this version, though:



There are some subtle differences, so I'll have to generate a 1:1 of that plan for you--unless you've changed your mind...

I know but I'm using it as a general  guide. No need for a 1:1 of the new plan as the printout would be huge as it prints the white space as well.

Not if I post it in sections, then the only white spaces to deal with would be for the curved module.

Looking good!  I'm a big fan of 1:1 templates and Micro Engineering 'flex' track.  Bend it to shape until you have precise curves and easements, and it stays that way.  If your plan flows, your layout will flow, and there's no cheating on the minimum radius.



Speaking of min. radius, how sharp is the turnaround curve in this plan?  It looks impossibly sharp in this shot, but I think it must be the perspective.

Ian, you might want to test-drive those '80MACs and racks on that curve, especially if you're considering close coupling.  It's probably ok though.

They fit on paper so we'll see how they run when I get track down. Kato has them listed at 9 3/4" min with the standard short shank. And since its hidden how crappy it looks doesn't matter.
