Well, I wasn't going to bump the thread again, but since it's already been done.

I think I've settled on reducing the geometry down to 1:200.  That gives about 8" between the outer rail and the wall at its closest clearance.  That should be enough for a decent amount of scenery while still preserving the look of the curve.

Excellent call.

Now, just don't do it until we've taken you there.

Not 1:220?  Then you could switch to Z scale!  They even have GG1's so you can do your electrified interpretation.

Oh wait, I thought Eric hadn't been there in person. Or was that Harrisburg? I know there was one of the PRR Meccas that he hadn't been to.

No worries, got lots to do before then. I've only been to the Curve once, and that was passing over it on the Three Rivers in 2001. Unfortunately, I fell asleep or something, because I don't remember it at all. Last year when I met Todd and toured the Juniata Shops, I didnt have time to get out to the Curve because I had to race down to MBK to meet some Asshats. ;)

Too invested in N to switch, but the thought of reducing the geometry down to Z scale had occurred.
