Great news for the Beanos! 8) What's next, an N&W CF? (I doubt it)

Can you freight car fans give me some approximate realistic appearance dates for some of the 50' boxes?

And does anyone know why there's only one number of the CNW car?

The Fine N Scale resin wagon top I've got is pretty cool... I don't know if it's by design or a result of the resin cast process, but the sides have a nice "oil canning" effect.  I wonder if Matt will be able to reproduce that?

D'oh! I thought this was gonna be the B&O caboose. Yeah, I have the Fine N scale model, it's like Lee says.

I'd be all over the FVM model though if I didn't already have the FNS kit. 8)

Also got a couple of the Fine N-scale and they are really good models.  Was also expecting the caboose model.

I wouldn;t be surprised if he does the Caboose at some point also, but I'm sure it'll be at a higher price.

The resin kits are nice. But this car should do well also as it will enjoy a larger market...i.e. those that don't do freight car kits.

I'll be on the prowl for some.  These old dogs were still kicking around in the late 60's

Already reserved the full MR&T boxcar set at Chuck's.  The AM and V&O cars and locos intrigue me - they were two of my inspiration layouts growing up.

I'm intrigued by the AM and V&O as well.  Thankfully, the V&O and AM locos are way too new for me.  Had they been produced in a locomotive that ran in the 1980s, I could have been in trouble.  They would have meshed with my C&O Piedmont Subdivision equipment nicely.

Depending on era, the AM, MR&T, and/or V&O boxcars would be nice for an occasional appearance on the A&R in interchange service.  Can anyone confirm the build (or whatever) dates on these cars?

Did you notice the upgrades to the Wagontop? Metal wheels and body mounted couplers in N! These are great improvements....maybe he will improve the Milwaukee Rib Side cars in future releases.

Nice car.

Best wishes, Dave

It looks like that number series is ex-RI cars.  Those cars are still around in their paintout schemes.  I would guess there isn't a lot of photos of repainted cars.

While neat, I've heard it argued that oil-canning is more of an issue on welded cars, and you don't see many riveted cars with warped panels.  It was by design on the FNS cars though.

B&O waqontops are very welcomed by me . So many railyard shots I have viewed and that's a shining standout , kind of like a where's Waldo hunt in a 50's railyard photo .
