The new Class B Climax now has wiring, and actually runs better than expected. Also now it has foot boards and couplers now, the doors and windows are cut in. on the home strech on this one, gotta do doors and window frames, roof vent, Whisle, pop off valves, Bell, headlights, Decoder, and other random Logging junk.......Well guess I am not as close as I thought I was, the more I think of it, the more things I can think of to add. I have this will be a constantly evolving project like the other climax. the camrea is packed so no picture this week. I am really happy with this mech thus far.

I would like to go on the record, and say that Walchester Valve gear is a PAIN IN THE a$$ to scratchbuild.

Also I bought a GE 44 ton, in Yellow, I am going to letter in NP, either 98 or 99, and I got a Micro Tsunami and a 1" oval speaker for my GS4. The big question now is to use a Chuff-cam or not.

Merry christmas!
Mike

The layout space is about 8 x 18' (about 1/3 the basement)

I could have made it much bigger, but I like it and can manage.

The rest has the washer, dryer, crapper, furnace, H20 heater, shelves, another workbench, and space for my Z scale layout.

So that round block wall is on the other side of the cellar , not anything to do with the layout . Makes more sense to me now .

"round block"?  I think your talking about the photos, they are panoramic so it looks like a fish eye. The pics are from the bottom of the steps. The reason for the one angled wall in the back corner is to create a nook to get into the electric box.

Gotcha , and thanks for the offer .

I wonder if anybody built , or even if it could be done , a room that was warped in such a way that the lines came out straight with the use of a fish eye . A fish eye shot of a fish eye photo would look like what ?

Making more progress toward my son's N scale layout.  I took him step-by-step through building the Walthers Pella Depot (painted as the Apex, NC depot).  Also, for Christmas, I gave him a CSX GP15-1.  Re-creating Apex in 2007-ish is ongoing.  We now have most of the Kato track we'll need for the layout, including the four #4 turnouts for the crossovers.

That's awesome Richie!
I got an Atlas RS3 and a few bits of rolling stock from the parents, so hopefully I'll have pictures of that up tomorrow.
Edit: Pictures added.
