Jason sent out his newsletter today and in it he says two new cars are coming for n scale this years (2011) he gave pictorial hints; clearly a CN model dining car and what looks like a club galley or club lounge are on the way. If you get Rapido telegraph 28 you will see the "hints"..... two new passenger cars - nice Christmas present.....

Pud,
I know  that they will be at the Big E train show (Amherst Railway Society) the end of January and
hope they will have a little more info then about this. This just means one more thing to look forward
too at the show.  :D

Wait, it wouldn't be the double diner, where one car is the kitchen and one is where the tables are.  Those are ex B&O/ex C&O cars!

I will be happy t o. Get more cars to go with my CN coaches and sleepers for Grand Trunk service. What I really look forward to is the day that the Osgood Bradley coaches make it to N scale in BAR and B&M.

Naw, I'm not that lucky.

We should know more at Springfield.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Now let me be the spoiler...

2, 3 and 4 shown in the Newsletter is the cafe - bar - lounge while 1 and 5 are of the 10 Roomette - 5 double bedroom.

Both really nice cars.  Looking forward to seeing them in N.

(How'd I know?  I looked at their website.)

You think that's a 10-5...? really...? Ok; I'd defer to your knowledge anyday but I'd not have guessed that Jerry.....I guess that "bump" at the end kinda gave it away...

No, I suspected the sleeper was a 10 -5 because of the isle windows and the roomette windows and the cafe - bar - lounge looked too familiar.  Like I mentioned to Jason in an email last night it was in part my knowledge of passenger cars and looking at what they had done in HO.  Reviewing what they were offering made it easy to find shots of the interiors and exteriors which made it considerably easier to figure out what was what.  After all, they will first do their items in HO and as they are able to do they will then do them in N.

True; I'm surprised at the 10-5 as there are other models of 10-5/10-6 sleepers out there but I'll take them; no question about that.....

Any new passenger cars in N Scale are always welcome news and from Rapido doubly so,with all that fantastic detail. Now I do hope we do get the Bradley coaches sometime down the road as well.                Nate Goodman (Nato).
