http://www.janbouli.com/?p=meatpacking.html

The rest of the site isn't done, but there are some other interesting ideas to be found.

The meat-packing plant is nicely done.

One little gem tucked away on his site is that proto pic of the Mayflower van and trailer.  Is the CMW 35' Aerovan trailer the appropriate model?

Funnily, I was researching the meat packing industry in the last few days. I ran across an old industrial film by Hormel online that's truly informative...

Two treats - the whiplash skinning of the cow carcass, and the CGW RS unit followed by a couple early TTX cars  and a string of Hormel ice reefers.

They just don't make 'em like this anymore - the film or the train.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Another one that offers less blood and trauma...Papermill modeling. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PaperMillModelers/?yguid=147370725
Pretty good ideas here, and considering how big they are here in Oregon, you could fill up a few modules with one plant.

How about a factory that forms products out a raw extruded aluminum . Inbound would be Structural Aluminum ie brass and plastic shapes painted silver . Out bound would be a loading dock filled with readily available ladders , diamond tread ramps , handrails , picnic tables , etc , all painted silver . Maybe some strapped together as a bundle would punch the just made look .

Thats disgustingly awesome.
