Daryl how did you like those new Chooch rubber walls? I was not to impressed with the ones I got and ended up making a casting of it so I could make plaster copies.

Daryl,

Please see no offense here, but you didn't put steps on the foremost wing, were you concerned with the final aspect of the edge if doing so ?

I plan to put the bridge in first than do the steps out of timbers.

Daryl,

I see a change in the stone of the abutment in your proto photo.  Is that an abutment/pier from a former bridge/track alignment?  If so, are you deleting that in the model?

Daryl,

Love the prototype Quadrilateral Whipple Truss. How are you going to model it ?

Right now I would say probably not.   It will be on the back side of the bridge and will not be that visible except in photos taken at a low level.  Once I get the bridges in, I'll evaluate the entire scene and see if adding it would greatly improve the overall scene.  I would not be that hard to add.

I thought it looked pretty good as is.   Although I'll probably stain it to a darker color to match the prototype better.    The rockwork matches the prototpye pretty well in my opinion.  I plan to use it for all the piers.

I will probably start with a shortened Walthers double track truss bridge, cut out the vertical side bracing and use plastruct structual pieces for the whipples.

Of course you could always build one for me with photo etchings!!!!!!!

Matt showed me the CNW standard Whipples in Milwaukee. Now those I liked, and they look very similar to your photo!!
