From Weekend Update:

I scratchbuilt an abandoned, derelict factory. It's based on the BSA Works building in Birmingham, UK, which represents a classic architectural style found all over the world after the turn of the century.

Ed, thank you for your kind remarks. I've gotten some emails about it also. It's not my best modeling, and I still have much to learn, but it did come out OK. And yes, the tree inside was my favroite part also. It was inspired by the prototype.

I assume that this is the same factory that you showed me last week at Timonium, when it was only a skeleton.  Fast and incredible.  You never cease to amaze me.  Thanks for sharing.

Nope. There's none in the reference building. Although if I did, I'd probably use microglazing.

Absolutely. Some of these buildings were huge. Like Henry Ford's assembly plant.

Yes, that was it. But I'm not as fast as it seems--the hardest part, the windows, were already done (I did them first, actually), so the rest went pretty quickly.

Thanks. I think it's the perfect kind of building to modularize--way easier than other architectural styles. I'm surprised no one's done it by now.

I've used Micro-Glaze. It's not bad, but I think there may be better alternatives.
