For all the PC chatter here, the fact is that you could REALLY do some cool stuff with the Lehigh Valley in the 1970's in N....

I've had that VERY same thought more times than I'm comfortable with...  Easton/Bethlehem in 1975 would be hawt as hell!

If you didn't catch it on the HO forum, the fall catalog should be out this week too.

I think I'm picking up the LV pair.  They'll fit in nicely with all my PC stuff.

I love that Vermont Northern.  Might need to buy it just because I never thought I'd see it produced.

Yeah, I just saw a presentation on them. That's some awesome railroading up there.

Kinda hard to go wrong with a fleet like D-L's, Ed. Been on my list of places to foam and if I ever get to do my NY/PA Alco fetish tour, D-L is pretty high on the list... right up there with the WNYP.

Wish I had a need for a C420. Wish even more that Atlas would do a C424... that way they'd be available when you need one.

It's funny, but there really is the southern NY northern PA ALCO tour. And now that they'r running them down the Buffalo Line (RIP), it's even better.

Sitting at a crossing watching, and maybe even more fun, listening to a WNY&PA train come through is pretty cool.

Agreed. Spent two great days chasing the DFT and OL-1 last fall. When I was in high school, I'd drive up to the CN mainline at Beare (by the Toronto zoo) at night and if I'd get a westbound with MLW's (good odds back in the early 90's) the auditory show was better than a q-tip eargasm.
