Scratchbuilt Freight Car Photo Site

Here's the link to a great photo site. There are several types of cars, including center beam flats, tank cars, box cars, and several odd cars. Some of the cars were built from old wood kits, but most are scratched. Take a look, you'll be glad you did.

Their cool, but what's the point of scratchbuilding them? Their are great models of the same thing he's scratchbuilding for a decent price.

You are so wrong!!! Name the models that you can buy. There isn't any models for anything he did, some are close, but not the same.

No, there really aren't. Everything there is different from what's available.

Dang, lots of nice stuff. I really like the NP centerbeam and woodchip hoppers

I think a few of the cars are available as models. The the Boeing parts box (Skybox?), the southern all doors (granted as a crappy bachmann model), and I think the woodchip gons.

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

You can get a "Pig Palace" stock car in N scale. (I forget who made them, but they are about 80' long) and there has been at least one magazine articale(sp) on bashing them to get allot closer to proto.
