Is this the same box that Huberts/LBF did?
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I think the Huberts By Fred one was the TBOX as well.

I also asked on Atlas, but does anyone know how common these gons would've been in the US in the mid 80s?

Same type, way better model.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Similar, but not exactly the same.  The Huberts model I have is a Gunderson prototype (from what I can tell):

http://www.railcarphotos.com/PhotoDetails.php?PhotoID=51786

The ExactRail model is a Trinity prototype:

http://www.railcarphotos.com/PhotoDetails.php?PhotoID=51960

The most obvious differences are 1) end corrugation spacing, 2) roof panels (X panels vs. straight panels), and 3) TTX logo placement.

I have a vague recollection that Huberts also offered a National Steel version too, but there is barely a trace of Huberts info on the web anymore...

-Gary

P.S. The ExactRail finish work is much better.

Par for the course for EpicFail... the Trinity box is only correct for TTX... all the others are just wrong... some aren't even Trinity boxes.

Ooooohh, they have not dropped the other item. Hmmmm.

Being in the booth next to ER gave me plenty of time to chat with booth chick and Blaine. Sunday was soooooooo bad that we just sat there talking about all sorts of things. BTW, booth chick is much better in person!!

LBF did TWO 50' wafflesided high cube boxes - plus one outside post 50' high cube box.

I don't know what Huberts followed through with.

[I have several of these type, if someone would like me to shoot a photo of all of them together to demonstrate this, because there is a lot of confusion]

Rob, I thought it's correct for the SRY RED catalyst boxes?  Def not for the Boxcar red SRY and Blue SRY, although that is one of the cars LBF did.

arrrghhh... mass confusion here - there have been a LOT of these cars released.  Many were only available for a REALLY short amount of time and I suspect have been forgotten or never seen by many:

Just to sum up:

LBF/Huberts:   60 foot  NS/UP/BNSF  (no idea on correctness)

LBF/Huberts:   60  foot NSC  (TTX/TBOX, CP rail, SRY, LW)
Huberts did one of these in CSX - and it IS correct - for a group of
                       cars assigned to autoparts loading.

LBF/Huberts:  50' gunderson outside post - many roads, not sure of correctness.

LBF/Huberts:  50' gunderson double plug door - to my eye close to some MILW/CP, BN cars

LBF/Huberts:   50'  NSC Waffleside - correct for SRY Blue, SRY BCR, some FBOX's

LBF/Huberts   50'    Waffleside - correct? for some FBOXes

Exactrail      50'  Waffleside correct for some FBOXes, SRY RED
