Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Lots of very fine examples there Pud, but the Soo gons really stand out: they are among the best white weathering I can recall.  I also really like the faded lettering on the WM/PVR box.

This is my new favorite:

A trueline Trains newsprint boxcar I changed out the floor to an old MDC/Roundhouse one that I filed down- this lowered the ride which was very high.

I can't say why but I liked the way this reefer came out, more so than the other cars I've done. It's a stock Athearn RTR, and going to Packer.

if you can't conduct yourself, conduct freight

Andrew -

Great to see you post.  I still have your ribbon.

Now they'll wonder how you got my ribbon!

But yup, I'm still around, just not very computerized. When my in-box hit 32,000 items  I decided that I should get out while I still can. Most of the content was just folks complaining about how bad or un-prototypical the latest  model railway item was that they couldn't live with out. While there was some good lurking in that mess I couldn't make much of it.  I'm just not made for the internet age. Luckily though there are topic threads like this one that demonstrate some of the creativity that still exists. A big thanks to those who contributed!

Maybe I'll see you at a west end NP vet's meet one of these days...

Cheers,

My 1st attempt at posting a picture here.  Will need to read the camera manual soon.

These are works in progress but I'm pleased with the results so far.  Both are N scale BLMA PS-4000 Covered Hoppers.  The ends, trucks and wheels still need to be done.

Didn't notice the stray bristle on the roof till now!

The ACL hopper will end up as an AEX patched car.
