Glad I wasn't the first person to mention no East Coast units.  Could use a few for my sixth tier RR (PRR) and a Reading unit.  Didn't the Reading SD-45s have a different cab configuration than normal?

The PRR had like 10% of all SD45's...

And not have one released in that or the PC scheme  :'(

Even the E-L had 30 of them.

Seriously, you're surprised that Kato isn't running eastern roads...  What a shock.

Kato is as Kato does.  The least they could do is use paint that comes off easier.

I'm getting to where I hate the Great Northern (and it's spawn) as much as I hated Santa Fe growing up. (It seems like it was the only road name you could get!)

It's easy for me to vote with my dollars, because I don't have any anyway!

Well Lee, it could be worse.  At least the WM didn't have any SD-45s.

But the Reading did.  Mr.  Wallet isn't worried though because he is counting on Kato to hold the line.  Just have to make do with my Reading C-630, which is probably just as well.

I heard that that Kato is doing a long list of SD45, C30-7, U30C and SD40 re-runs over the next two years...

Aren't you glad you didn't get that other one now?

Dave's reaction when he found out his wife got him a G scale loco for his N scale layout!

I don't know how "awesome" it'd be to wake up to find my arm turned into half an F40PH...

The RDG units had extended cabs, really tricky to kitbash, I'd think. As far as eastern roads go (which may not be far with Kato) you need to remember that the early run(s) of eastern road SD45's didn't sell out very fast. My guess is that since there were so many more major eastern roads than western ones, the demand for any particular eastern road is less than for a western road. That is, the eastern road fan base is more fragmented than the western road fan base.

I will not be buying any of the first run of these new SD45's. My favorite roads are not included. This is good, because the first release purchasers can pick them apart before I will have to decide on subsequent runs!

So Kato listened to suggestions? Maybe SD40-2s (earlier versions, not the moernized versions) aren't too far behind...

More like 2/3. (maybe 3/4)
Vincent

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.
