So just in case you Pennsy fans thought I'd gone over completely to the blue side, I had my boys help me swap eras tonight on the N Scale Juniata Division.  I took some quick grabs with the camera (no staged shots) just for fun.  Please excuse the lack of backdrop.



A stray E8 finds itself in the freight diesel pit tracks at Enola behind an RF16B.



An L1s prowls the yard while a hotshot is ready to head westward on a departure track.



An M1 is maneuvering around the service tracks:





The yard is busy:





A pair of GP9s idle on the westbound departure track ready for clearance from DAY tower to proceed to BANKS.





Another grab of the L1s:









Meanwhile the eastbound Broadway Limited races into the dawn through East Mifflin:



...and an H10sb brings a local through Lewisport:

Excellent! Somehow the layout looks better with alittle DGLE. It just looks right and feels right. Long live the PRR.

Cool pics!  Except, with steam on the rails, get that red-orange circa-1956 McGinnis NH anomaly out of there and substitute in a handsome NYNH&H script herald car!

I love the Pennsy too.  Love it so much I just ordered another Broadway Limited set which I plan on changeing the car names. 

You do need to get more X29 boxcars.  Great stuff Dave!

LOL...  I have some Red Caboose X29s but I lost the damned brakewheel staffs on all of them...  and I can't find the replacements.  Besides, I don't like the way I weathered them.

Nice stuff. Every time I look at that yard, it screams to me, "Make me longer."  Another extension can't be that hard! The lead and yard tracks need to be balanced.

Someday I plan to double the length.  It's not a matter of "hard."  It's a matter of space, and the fact that I will likely move another 3 or more times before I retire from the Air Force.  In fact I'm moving to Florida this December...  Space will be tight as the best I'll be able to do is a spare bedroom.  Temp/humidity swings in a garage are unacceptable, and since I plan on renting (it's an 18 month tour) I won't be investing in insulating a garage.  Everyone I know who bought a house while at Hurlburt or Eglin can't sell and is forced to rent it out anyway.

Oh, and Ed, the more I look at that mike, the more I think it needs PC-style letters.
