Tom:  You sure my allusion on our BLMA facebook page was for the pending announcements?   :-X

What else could the photo of the E8/9 mean? ;D

I thought Tom's FB comment was alluding to the comment about Craig making those short bulkhead flats used to haul rebar, pipe, etc (something Craig even noted on the original product description for the F89J).  Someone asked about making one and Craig said to be on the look out for some announcement in the very near future.

The much-requested late sixties model will be an open tri-level auto rack to ride on the new 89' flat.  (I'm sure Craig was taught to leverage his investment.)
No F89J was ever converted to rack service....

Just goes to show that I know nothing about '60s railroading.   ::)

You're dead on, EXCEPT for the fact that I said "stay tuned"....Nothing about near future.  One of these days.   ;)

The announcements next week are NOT bulkhead flats, FYI.

I wouldn't say that.  TTX certainly converted a boatload of pig flats to rack service in the 70s and 80s, the F89J just wasn't one of the classes.
