Don't know if it would help but here is a pocket history of the prototype Little Rock & Western:

The Little Rock & Western was born in 1980 in the aftermath of the shutdown of Rock Island. Rail Management Corporation bought the line from Perry to Pulaski, Arkansas. Six years later, they began to operate the line from Perry to Danville on behalf of a grain company. There is also a branch to North Little Rock. Total mileage at this point is 82. Under Rock Island, this had been part of the Memphis – Tucumcari mainline.

The diesel fleet consists of two Alco C420’s and a GP9. They are painted in the same basic scheme as Green Bay & Western but with forest green replacing GB&W red. By the late 90s, they had added light blue ends and frame stripe. The result of that wasn’t pretty:

Traffic includes forest products and paper, grain, salt, limestone slurry, cornstarch, lignin liquor (a slurry of wood fibers and solvents used in making paper) and LP Gas. Traffic levels run about 125 cars per week.

In 2005, Genessee & Wyoming bought Rail Management Corporation bringing the LR&W into the G&W shortline family.

If you're referring to the ones along the back of the wall, I would think probably remotely. Still playing around with ideas, and I have to get the train room cleaned out of clutter so I can start painting.

I'm thinking to get back to RR'ing, I might go the way of DV and setup a one or two door layout...

Oh it's worse than that my friend; it's the motivation after coming home from work...and having a arms length of projects on the to-do list from the months I was stagnant after the injury/surgery...just taking a longer time getting back in the swing of things!

But I did get 3/4 of the train room decluttered last night...so there is still hope!

Airfare (or Amtrak) accommodations at a local B&B, and meals.......that might do it.  ;D

Ok, so most of the train room is decluttered and here is what I have so far. (Sorry the bottom part of the jpeg was cropped by accident; can't get the RR Track bmp to cooperate with MS Paint).

The white areas against the wall is shelf benchwork that is still on the walls at 52" from the floor, 20" wide. The gray block is the bedroom window which I can build benchwork in front of and reach via underneath.
The nook bottom right is where I'm going to place the work bench, but I can still run a shelf over it at 52" and will be out of the way.

Would like continuous run, looking at a shortline RR project. I know I'm over analyzing this (and Lee told me I was too), but I wanted to get this on here and see if anyone had ideas that I just don't see? I keep figuring a loop at both ends, and fill in the wall shelves...is that pretty much it? Should I just stop planning and start laying the roadbed and go from there?

This fog has got to lift sometime so I can get busy building....

Not sure about track work; have to build the rest of the shelving along the walls first and the two peninsulas.
Thinking about building three sided cases underneath the peninsula's after I get wiring and all under layout work done, then will have storage underneath the layout and it "might" look 1/2 way decent too.
