The roof walk is pretty easy to fix with a new MT walk:

The "fixed" one is also lowered just a hair and I split the frame to stretch it a bit so the bolsters lined up with the body. Oh, and FVM wheels.

Great work Chris that's exactly what I had in mind! Glad to see it worked really well for you, guess I'll be doing the same now. Thanks Chris!

The outside braced cars cover much of the Alphabet Route (although N&W wasn't a part of it until it swallowed the Wabash, PWV and NKP...) Might have to scoop up a few of them for the steam era fleet.  I also like the 1932 cars for the same reason.

I'll get the 40' WM box to support the cause.  For 8 bucks street, I'm not going to quibble over details.  A splash of weather and onto the rails with ya!

With the exception of the roofwalk, the 40' DD boxcars look very good.  As Chris showed, a better roofwalk takes care of the one glaring issue.  I picked up a Seaboard Air Line from the first run and was pleasantly surprised at how little work was needed to make the Trainman model fit in with the higher-end models.

I see they have California Northern SD-9s.  I'm thrilled to see the SD-9s coming back, but the Cal. Northern SD is shown sans dynamic brake.  That must be an art department mistake, right?

I'd imagine it's an art department error.  They only had four all with DB, how hard would it be to screw that up?   :-X

They screwed up the color on the Cal Northern GP15s !!!!  :o

I have yet to see on in person.  How bad is it?

Microscale called for Reading Green as a match in their decal sets, and it was pretty much dead on to my eyes.

Here's one in did in HO about ten years back on a Walther's undec.

I have a few 40' DD's from the last batch. As stated, not that bad. Don't need a lot of these cars, however.

You do realize that those "tweets" are from 2009, right?

Would
having 'AtlasTom' breathing down the neck of the patternmaker every minute really speed up the process?  Cannot believe that would help speed the process that much, it takes whatever time that it takes and we will each judge the result and vote with our wallets.  I'm going now, I feel the need to rave incoherently on the Peco Forum...

Now that's an idea for a Trainman cartoon that I'll pay to see!
