Good lord I hope that's not a mistake!

I wonder if it is the old tooling, how much of it they will update, as in trucks and couplers for one.

More than likely the old Lifelike with some new features. Most likely Accumates, if nothing else. Good to have them back again.

At $24.98 a throw, they better have some DAMN NICE upgrades.  Like, accurate paint colors, window glass, lighted markers, and hot coffee on the stove...

Not adjusting for inflation, that's about a 400% increase over the old price...

Hmm, with window glass and a few other improvements they might be nice. If SOS, then  :(

Wait & see. Sweat it until they arrive.

If you look at the paint schemes on the Walther's website, they've got the PC one all wrong... it shows the PENN CENTRAL off center, and the lettering in black.  (The WM and Conrail lettering is shown in black too... I'm assuming that's just a diagram, not the actual colors)

This will be a wait and see product for me.  At least until the pre-production photos turn up.

I'm not the expert here, but weren't the NW cars all blue?  Can't say I've seen any in red before.

They were blue up until repainted after 1969, then some did receive the red paint scheme with "NW" lettering.

Very interesting. I sure hope for some sort of upgrades at that price. I think the last round of those was $11.95 retail with earliest I could find at $8.50 retail. Something better be alot better for a 100% + price increase.

I am not 100% sure but hasn't their re-released Life-Like items been basically identical to what LL had released except for a healthy price increase!!!!

I wouldn't hold my breath on upgrades after all this is Walthers N scale we are talking about.

Their track record doesn't give me much confidence. They could mess up an anvil with a rubber hammer.
