My goodness. Someone changes _to_ N scale and it's a huge celebration. Someone changes _from_ N scale and its all...
..."what the hell are you thinking".
*Imagines the reception Iain will get in the Atlas HO Scale Forum*
I'm not up on my Baldwins, but is the AS416 pictured A-1-A? Looks like a six axle, but not by that designation.HO has GP40-2W'sHO has C630M'sHO has accurate CP C424'sHO has MIL and/or HS bulkhead flatsHO has CP EV vansHO has LRC'sWhy am I in N? Apparently I'm a masochist...
HO has HH U30B
It is a six axle, but the middle axles on the trucks are unpowered to go with the weight restrictions on Norfolk Southern's by then ancient and extremely light track.
HO has HH SD40-2 (Athearn)HO has HH SD45HO has HH GP30HO has HH U30BHO has U30CHO has HH C630HO has HH C628HO has N&W Class A 2-6-6-4HO has N&W H2a hopper in plasticand a crap load of other stuff that would make this aspect simpler (Cannon, a wide assortment of diesel horns compared to N, etc).
Don't forget the Y6b, Y3s, and the class JOne of the BLI flyers I have does mention bringing the H2a to N though. It looks like they'd rather re-paint the H2a for other roads though.
N already has a good J and a good Y3. I have a Rivarossi Y6b but a "new tech" one might be cool. The original PCM announcement in what? 2005? included the H2a. The H2a in HO is in its second release, with more N&W, along with Wabash (the Wabash are conceivably close, if they represent the ex-N&W H3s that Wab bought from N&W) and a bunch of foobs.Mark
