Ed - one of the best replications of TEHACHAPI I have ever seen. Need more pics, any with
the derailment and tank car fire?

Does anyone know if anyone makes anything larger? I'm thinking in the 7-8" size?

Ed, for my trees, the super tree bits make up about half of the size of the tree, so I use smaller armatures. Also, with a huge armature you will have a huge trunk which may be scale for CA redwoods, but way to thick for you average eastern tree. There a pain too file down too. Just my experience.

SO looking at your Trainboard write-up (props for that too) I wonder if you could substitute WS Fine Leaf Foliage clumps for the armature stups, as they have a branch structure already.  If i get about 2098765224 things done this weekend, Imay try to find out.

I've never use WS fine leaf foliage, but its just super trees with foliage added right? If so, it should work, though it's expensive stuff.

Awesome trees in this thread though. I'm going to have to try some of these techniques. :)

This is probably hands down the best looking trees I've seen so far:

However it is very tedious and time consuming to make them. I haven't tried it yet, but will soon. Here is some eye candy from that thread to drive everyone crazy...

The bags of "China trees" look pretty good, the only problem - You
plant a hundred of them and an hour later, you'll want to plant a hundred
more....drum roll please....
