But considering he probably did this at night *and* the face is recognizable, good job.

I'm not sure if it's necessarily the face that's recognizable, or if it's the iconic image (pose, expression, earrings, etc.) that's recognizable. Either way, I agree that under the circumstances it's a pretty impressive job.

You know you're a nerd when...

You first heard of ICH and/or Adriana Lima on Railwire.

You know some one is looking at too many Victoria Secret catalogs when they recognize one of the models on a passing train car.

Bernie, I'm not much of a fan of graf either but maybe the rail car operators/owners should stop providing blank canvases, maybe return to the billboard schemes of old... In defense of the graf perpetrators, the starkness with which rail cars are painted these days only contributes to the starkness of many urban environs where these cars rest. In an effort to brighten up their surroundings, everything gets painted, even if it's only temporarily located there.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Under the circumstances, I doubt ICH had either, and so some of the proportions are off. Look at the eyes, for instance; her irises are much larger than they were rendered, the head shape is wrong, the eyes are placed too high, the ear is where it belongs on an alien from Avatar, etc., etc. A for effort, B+ for execution (coloring and shading), C for accuracy.

Huh?  There was a photo with a railcar in it?

Tom,
On second thought can you fix the lips?  They look . . . well they aren't right in the closeup you linked to.

here is my 2 cents, Graffiti is art. it takes tallent, time, planning, and can be appreciated if you overlook its undesirable location. Personally, I like alot of the graf. I see around, Although, I use to do a little myself back in the day. I wasn't nearly this good though. Advice I use to give my friends, don't paint over the road number, and the loading/weight data, and the work will stay around longer. of corse, that got the whole tilted head/drooling, responce, so I made it more simple, don't paint over numbers. you'd be suprized how long graf. will stay around, the main reason a railroad will remove graf is because it covers the information required by law. besides, sometime the graf. is covering bare spots in the orginal paint.

On the otherhand, Tagging is NOT art, it is just crap scribbled by some hoodlum kid that needs to be disiplined.

Overall:

What "magic" needs to be done? It looks quite fine as is.
