This might be a dumb question but are those conspicious stripes on the top of the locos.  If so, why?

They're warning labels!

A shot of Matt's current samples. A number of these are getting changes for production, but you get an idea.

Got any closer shots of that UP unit?   That's what I have coming. ;D

From what I can see in this pic it appears the the handrail "issue" is isolated to the BNSF unit - is this correct?

Thanks!

Mark

In this photo, it looks like the bottom of the stanchion is damaged.  You can see the white stess mark in the plastic at the base of it.

If that means you don't want it, I'd be willing to take it off your hands...  ;) ;) ;)

Were it not for the Handrails and couplers it would be on par with much of the HO equipment. The space between the frame and the trucks is really spiffy,a nd only after looking a few times do I notice details such as the cables cast into the frame, and the MU receptors on the pilot.

Thanks Tom.

One other major thing (that people around here will at least appreciate) that I discovered when I went back and looked into the FVM box the GEVO comes in. I knew all sun shades and grabs were included in the box, however I didn't know they came *pre-painted* ready to install. Yes, that also means that when a grab is on a yellow stripe, it is painted yellow - from the factory.

I finally got a BNSF unit of my own to play with and I'll take some more photos when I install all the detail parts.

Put together a new video:

That might be the coolest model train video I have ever seen. Looks like the real thing. Great work, Lashedup.

No "might" about it..... that is simply outstanding - wow.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

FVM locomotives can now push Kato into getting out locomotives on time. I feel FVM has beautiful detailing locomotives and we needed more modern locomotives out. Thanks FVM.

Just got my FVM BNSF GEVO -- this is an awesome model!    ;D ;D    I love how they left off the cast-on grabirons.  8)

Interestingly, mine arrived with a set of GMM stanchions.  ;)

We expect the new stanchions to be on the weathered model by tomorrow's Weekend Update.  ;)

Hey Look!  No windsheild wipers Cast into the cab glazing.  Another plus!

I really hate that Kato does that. :D
