One of my favorite freight trains to photograph is the coke train off the W&LE into Baltimore.  Really enjoy seeing all the older cars off of railroads which no longer exist due to mergers, etc.

I took this last Saturday with my camera phone (LG ENV Touch) in Hyattsville, MD in the parking lot of Franklin's General Store and Brew Pub:

Interestingly, I almost didn't see the train, because I was standing next to this:

And to tie the theme together, how about a Wheeling and Lake Erie train at Hagerstown!

Sorry about the horrible lighting.  The weather is almost always crappy when I go railfanning.

From earlier this year:

Lot of ex-BN and WLE in this one.

What's with the funky looking GP35? HH with AAR trucks?
Vincent

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

More WLE, closer to their home base of Brewster, where I don't live far from.

North of Orrville, Ohio:

Greenwich, Ohio on CSX (former NYC Big Four line:)

How long ago did you get that pic? It's pretty similar to the one I got in Acton. :P

I took it last week (Dec. 10) at the end of my commute from Boston. I got off the train and saw the sunset so I took a photo of it...wasn't trying to duplicate anything. I got a lot of other angles too but I like this best because of the light reflecting off the side of the coach.
